    RIVIERA Cellar Restaurant

    Our most characterful dining space, The Cellar has been designed to maximise the original vaulted ceiling with a unique contemporary feel. Guests can immerse themselves in luxury, surrounded by the hotel’s outstanding wine collection whilst your experience is enhanced by the background music of our resident pianist Graham Peters.

    The Riviera Cellar Restaurant is often used for our famous wine tasting experiences.  Discover the art of wine tasting, or treat your favourite vino connoisseur, with a wine tasting experience. We work with some of the most prestigious vineyards across the World. .

    The Riviera Cellar Restaurant is very popular locally and guests are advised to book.  The intimate and candle-lit ambience of the restaurant is perfect for a romantic meal, as well as larger tables of up to 6 people.

    The Great Hall

    Our most iconic space, the Great Hall boasts some of the finest features in the house, from the exquisite Minstrels Gallery to William Morris stained glass windows and stunning huge Elizabethan fireplace, it’s a truly amazing place to take afternoon tea, celebrate or simply relax.

    With views of Wales and the Dee Estuary and an ambience all of its own, the Great Hall is quite simply outstanding.  A stunning space to just sit and watch the sun go down.

    A very popular space for both intimate and larger wedding ceremonies, there are various seating layouts from our comfortable circular sofas for lounging, to our Italian leather chairs. The Great Hall is fitted with laser lighting and it’s own sound system and is ideal for any party or live event.  The room also features its own organ in the Minstrels Gallery ideal for those wanting a more traditional wedding ceremony.

    The Drawing Room

    Dominated by a stunning Inglenook fireplace, the Drawing Room is designed to be your home from home living room, a wonderful place to relax, drink, chat, or even, just read a book.

    With its romantic outlook, privacy and own entrance into the grounds and its outdoor seating, it is ideal for intimate weddings and private functions with its own bar.

    HILLBARK GRILL

    This bright and airy room that boasts views of the Dee Estuary and the 250 acres of woodland can be found on the ground floor and is a picture of elegance with its bright and opulent gilded Louis XV armchairs, arranged around generously spaced tables, all perfectly dressed. Truly a setting for a memorable lunch or early dinner.

    The location of the famous Hillbark Hotel Breakfast, Champagne Breakfasts and is also an ideal space for sharing Sunday Roasts, taking Afternoon Tea or Coffee and Pastries with family, friends or colleagues and Evening Dining.

    KRUG Room

    The Krug Room, is the perfect location for a private meeting for up to 16 people or a great space for a get together for a family dinner or party.  The big-screen TV is perfect for presentations as well as video messages from friends and family for birthdays and other celebrations.

    With charming oak-panelled walls and an original fireplace, this room is extremely versatile to whatever you choose. It features its own private entrance and toilets away from the main areas of the hotel.

    Very popular as a meeting room as well as groups coming in for wedding menu tastings.

    Contessa CHAMPAGNE Bar

    Cool and classy, Contessa’s Champagne Bar epitomises ‘grown up’ relaxation. Open all day until late, it’s the ideal venue for any kind of social gathering.  Our popular Doubles Bar, why not pop in for a Gin & Tonic or a crisp glass of champagne after your walk in the park?  We also serve a great selection of loose leaf tea and freshly ground gourmet coffee.

    You can just pop in – there’s no need to book!

    The Contessa Champagne Bar is laid out with many different areas to allow flexibility.  Overlooking the lawns, it’s ideal for groups as well as intimate events.  Ideal for coffee & tea social meetings.  Perfect for relaxed business meetings to just chilling out on the grand chairs in front of the open fireplace with a drink.

    The Library

    The stunning Library is a very flexible and private space. Ideal for private dining and intimate events.  Beautiful views of the grounds and overlooking the pergola.  It features a private entrance which is popular for guests who arrive by helicopter.  It’s an excellent hideaway in the hotel.

    The ideal space for intimate Weddings, sharing Sunday Roasts, Afternoon Tea Parties, private business meetings and guests just wanting to relax and get away from things to read one of the many books and history scrap-books.

    The Lawn

    Enjoy the stunning grounds of the Hillbark Hotel & Spa.  We have numerous areas, including the lawns where you can relax and enjoy the fresh air on our luxurious sofa booths.  Enjoy drinks as well as morning pastry and taking afternoon tea with family or friends.

    If you prefer, we can also offer déjeuner sur l’herbe (Luncheon on the grass), picnic blanket, and bespoke basket for you to enjoy within our grounds or take on a walk in Royden park and find a relaxing spot.

    Book your booth in advance, dining tables of six are available to book for afternoon tea.  Standing tables available for chat and champagne gatherings.

    Alfresco – The PERGOLA

    Enjoy private dining and outdoor celebrations in our stunning pergola.  As well as the centrepiece to outdoor Civil Ceremonies, this space can host lavish and unique special events from private dining to just sharing afternoon tea with family and friends.
