It's the biggest day of your life….so much to organise; the dress, the flowers, the hair, the venue! Imagine then, finding your own 'fairy-godmother' to help you through the planning and take away (some) of the stresses and strains the process inevitably brings. Imagine no more, and meet your Wedding Angel in human form, Kim Maher.
With over 15 years in the industy – 8 of them at Hillbark, Kim has to be the most experienced Wedding and Events planner in the region. Yes she is super-organised, efficient and hugely creative, but its her warm, caring personality and no-fuss approach that really sets her head and shoulders above the rest.
When we caught up with Kim (we had to wait an hour because a bride popped in unexpectedly) she was as manic as ever, fielding phone calls with suppliers and firing out orders to her obviously adoring team.
When we finally managed to sit her down, she still kept one eye on her emails and phone, but was eager to talk about her role and the hotel she loves so much.
So Kim, what do you love about your job?
I love getting to know all of my clients, especially the brides and their mums. Everyone has a unique little picture of what they would like their big day to be and I love seeing the whole thing come together.
What kind of help / input do you offer?
Well, we can literally look after almost every aspect of the Wedding day and the run up.
We offer the full civil ceremony, in several locations across the hotel and brides can even opt for our bespoke 12 month plan which includes everything from personal training and weight loss to finishing touches such as flowers and the cake.
